Fans were in a welcoming mood for these boys from California. This was the band's second stop on this new tour, having started things off up the road in San Antonio a couple of nights prior. The band is on tour supporting their eleventh studio album, The Getaway.

The California quartet's stop in Houston was their first since 2012 and to say fans in the near sold out Toyota Center were ready would be hitting the mark close. They were more than ready for Anthony, Flea, Chad and Josh.

The band started the night with an intro jam to rev things up, followed by lead singer Anthony Kiedis bounding out from backstage to kick things off with a righteous version of Around The World from 1999's Californication album, followed by Snow (Hey Oh), Scar Tissue, Dark Necessities and at least 14 more songs and cuts off the several albums from the Red Hot Chili Pepper's 32 year career.

On this tour the Red Hot Chili Peppers are being supported by New Orleans native, Trombone Shorty. On select dates, original RHCP drummer, Jack Irons performs as a third act on the bill.
