Recently reunited 80's glam metal band RATT, featuring three of the original five members, vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini and bassist Juan Croucier have announced the possibility for a new album in 2018...
Their last studio offering "Infestation" in 2010 was met with mixed reviews, but did seem to capture their signature "Ratt 'N' Roll" sound that garnered platinum album sales in the 80's. Guitarist Robbin Crosby, who was a huge part of their duel lead guitar sound died in 2002 from a drug overdose. Crosby had been HIV positive since 1994, which had developed into full-blown AIDS by 2001.
The band has been embroiled in a lengthy legal battle over the "RATT" name with former drummer Bobby Blotzer who took his own version of the band out on tour under the moniker. After a "Slip of the Lip" during a radio interview this past weekend. It was revealed that a new album may already be in the works. This is great news for fans of the band and continues the trend of 80's bands resurrecting their careers, if only briefly.
If you've never seen them live during their heyday, here's your chance to mark that off your bucket list as they are sure to tour to support any new album release. With the core of the band intact. It should be a great show as long as Pearcy's vocals hold up.
