To a near sold out crowd on a rainy Halloween night, The Cult delivered an aural assault to dedicated fans at the House of Blues in downtown Houston. Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy brought the onslaught of Cult favorites during their Houston show. Songs like, Rain, Lil' Devil, Wildflower, Fire Woman, She Sells Sanctuary and more were peppered throughout their set. The Cult delivered the perfect Halloween treat to those in attendance.

On a rainy Sunday night, nineties rock ruled at the House of Blues in Houston, TX. Alternative rockers, Soul Asylum played a raucous set to an intimate crowd. Soul Asylum came out in a blaze of guitars and lots of activity on stage including Dave Pirner parading around with band mates. The show was well worth the price of admission as Soul Asylum delivered the sonic goods. Cowpunk and alternative rockers, The Meat Puppets opened up the show with their twangy and technical guitar work. It might have been a rainy night but it was definitely rocking.

Former Creed, and current Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti rolled into town with his shiny new metal band Tremonti. Mark is no stranger to the Music business as his award winning music career with Creed and Alter Bridge has forged him in the fires of hard work and success. Stepping out on his own was the next logical step in his evolution as an artist. Mark is not only providing the crunchy rhythm and tasty lead guitar riffs for this new band. He is also fronting a band for the first time in his professional career. Mark has provided solid background vocals throughout his career, but has never taken on such a huge task. He pulls it off with ease and throws his hat in the ring for best new metal band of the year.

Metal monsters Trivium took the stage in Houston leaving a pile of sweaty moshers in it's wake as it plowed through a 15 song setlist to the delight of their fans.
