Wendy Miller worked at the terrestrial 101 KLOL-FM (Rock 101 KLOL) in Houston during the station’s final years as a rock format, up until its switch to Mega 101 (a Latino format) on November 12, 2004.
She was on the air in middays, known for her engaging personality and connection with listeners in the classic rock era. Sources describe her as a key on-air talent alongside figures like Outlaw Dave, Stevens & Pruett, and others during that time.
After KLOL’s format change, Wendy transitioned to the short-lived terrestrial Rock 97.5 KIOL (which debuted in January 2005 as a spiritual successor, featuring several ex-KLOL staff), where she handled middays before moving to its later 103.7 frequency until live jocks were eliminated in 2007.
Her tenure at KLOL spanned the lead-up to the 2004 flip—likely several years prior, though exact start dates aren’t widely documented in public sources. She remains fondly remembered by Houston rock radio fans from that iconic period.
